Draft transport accessibility action plan
Commenting on the publication of the DfT's Accessibility Action Plan, Crispin Humm, Head of Customer Journey at the Rail Delivery Group, which brings together train operators and Network Rail to enable a better railway, said:
"The rail industry welcomes the government's commitment to improving the accessibility of public transport and will continue to work with the Department for Transport to make journeys better. We want to improve so that everyone can benefit from the opportunities that access to the rail network provides. That’s why we’re focusing on making more stations step free, making it easier to book assistance and improving information about accessible facilities."
