RDG response to Which? report on passenger satisfaction
A spokesperson for the Rail Delivery Group, which represents the rail industry, said:
"We are sorry for recent disruption experienced by some of our customers. We are seeing a once-in-a-generation investment to change and improve for the benefit of our customers with 98p in every pound spent on train fares being invested back into running and improving the railway.”
NOTES
- 'In Partnership for Britain’s Prosperity’ is our single, long-term plan to secure a stronger economy, better customer journeys and more rewarding jobs on the railway. Our commitments will set Britain’s railway on a course to deliver more for customers, communities, the economy and our people.
- Last August, rail companies committed to creating a rail ombudsman to further build confidence in services. The accessible and free to use rail ombudsman service will launch in November and it will cover rail journeys throughout Britain.
